This evening my husband wanted to go a walk as he is still recovering from surgery so we went to Canatara Park it was such a nice evening we sat on one of the benches along the path near Lake Chipican and this bird came in the trees above us.

| BLACK THROATED GREEN WARBLER |

These are the best two pictures i could take as the warbler would not stay still and to many branches kept getting in the way.

| MOURNING CLOAK |
The first butterfly of the season landed not far from where we were sitting.
The last bird we saw on Lake Chipican was this Goose anyone want to put a name to it
Black-throated Green Warbler! Hooded is all yellow with black 'hood' and you will see a white flash of outer tail feathers.
ReplyDeleteLooks like partial Swan Goose--from the animal farm? Swan Goose is from eastern Asia.
Thanks Blake
ReplyDeleteI figured the goose was an escapee from the animal farm and thanks for correcting the warbler.
